Park Awareness and Restoration
Raised the awareness and support for the Park by documenting the significant historical and cultural assets and need to restore the environmental health of the park through commissioning the Cultural Landscape Report that will serve as the foundation for future investment. Completed a comprehensive stakeholder process to ensure consistency in the design and implementation of capital improvement projects within the park. Initiated the design and development of a fully accessible nature playscape within the park highlighting the intersection of the natural and cultural history of the park. Advanced the effort to renovate the Brackenridge Park?s cultural trail and historic Water Works buildings that tell the story of the origins of the Brackenridge deed to the City of San Antonio for the Park and history of San Antonio?s water delivery system. Hosted numerous free community-based programs, events and awareness campaign to commemorate Brackenridge Park?s 125-year anniversary of the establishment of the park.
