In the 2023-2024 fiscal year, Enterprising Latinas, Inc. continued to expand economic opportunities for women and low- to moderate-income families in South Hillsborough County. More than 250+ residents from Wimauma and the surrounding communities accessed workforce or entrepreneurship training, leading to higher-paying jobs and new economic prospects. Our dedicated entrepreneurs have introduced a multitude of new services to the community by establishing 110+ new businesses in the last four years that contributed over $1 million to the local economy. We also saw 40 members secure new or better-quality jobs. Through our Wimauma Connects network, 500 households and 25 local businesses have access to free wi-fi service. At least 100 residents gained the skills to access the internet and use a computer through a digital literacy initiative that brings the classes to the places where residents gather including health clinics, churches, and other service providers.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2023 – Jun 30, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1.7MProgram 1 [2025]
