Worker's Rights Advocacy
WORKER'S RIGHTS: NYCC addresses the concerns of low wage workers by educating them about their legal rights, facilitating health and safety trainings, developing leaders who can advocate on their own behalf, and providing English as a Second Language programs and job training. NYCC also surveys workers about their experiences on the job and then issues reports to inform policymakers about the needs of the workers in their communities. Workers join together through NYCC to protect their rights and improve working conditions.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2023 – Dec 31, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$350KAffordable Housing Advocacy

Environmental Justice - Climate change and inequality are the two great moral crises of our time. Low-income communities of color, who do not have money and power to fall back on in a disaster, are already hit the hardest. We're fighting for bold, transformational change at the scale of the crisis, not the inadequate baby steps that politicians and corporation like to brag about. Our challenge is moving rapidly to 100% renewable energy while creating good union jobs, especially for low-income communities of color. That's how we save our future from climate change while fighting inequality.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2023 – Dec 31, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1.4M
