    Voter Engagement: In 2020, ACCE Actions voter engagement programs filled 465 volunteer shifts and contacted 98,908 voters across multi-issue campaigns and electoral races, helping to pass progressive ballot measures, and to elect candidates that place people over corporate profit. Housing: while millions of California renters lost their incomes and their ability to pay for their most basic needs, including rent, ACCE Action played a strongleadership role in cities across the state as well as at the state level in winning renter protections, eviction moratoriums, and pushing rent forgiveness legislation

  • Housing Advocacy and Policy Change

    In 2023 ACCE Action continued our work of educating and activating impacted Californians to design and advocate for policy changes at the local and state levels. Through a large coalition ACCE Action members organized tenants and successfully lobbied legislators to pass Senate Bill 567 which extended tenant eviction protections to renters statewide. A highlight of this effort was the 800-person Housing is a Human Right Capitol lobby and action day in late April organized by the statewide Housing Now! Coalition where ACCE turned out nearly 400 people!
