Student Tutoring and Volunteer Support
In 2023, EBY matched 116 students with tutors. EBY has served a total of 538 student participants since its launch in June 2020. This data does not include students who began receiving services in previous years and continue to meet with their tutors. Student-Tutor Matches: Student and Tutor Matches since the program began 567. EBY volunteers: EBY recruited an additional 68 new volunteers in 2023. EBY slowed volunteer recruitment because of the reduced number of students entering the program. In 2023, more than one-third of those tutoring new students were continuing volunteers. Since the program began in June 2020, EBY has worked with 374 volunteers. In addition, monthly peer-to-peer drop-in support sessions were held 12 times during 2023. Volunteer educational programs included 2 seminars, one on interviewing and networking and Diversity in the Workplace. The organization continued the support of four Hebrew conversation groups that meet weekly. In addition, two volunteer teams were active- an orientation team made up of six volunteers, and a technology team comprised of 5 volunteers. In 2024, English B'Yachad (EBY) matched 219 students with tutors. EBY has served a total of 750 student participants since its launch in June 2020. This data does not include students who began receiving services in previous years and continue to meet with their tutors. EBY volunteers: EBY recruited an additional 125 new volunteers in 2024. Since the program began in June 2020, EBY has worked with 497 volunteers. In addition, monthly peer-to-peer drop-in support sessions were held 12 times during 2024. Volunteer educational programs included seminars on the psychological impact of the war on Israelis. In addition, three volunteer teams were active- an orientation team, a technology team, and a Human Resources review team. The organization implemented the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management system.
