SSVF - Supportive Services for Veterans and Families. SSVF assists veterans and their families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, to regain stability and permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis or homelessness. SSVF provides supportive services to resolve the immediate crisis & promote housing stability. The intervention is temporary. Homeless prevention is intended to prevent fist time and repeated homelessness or a recurrance of a housing crisis. Rapis rehousing is intended to end homelessness, reduce the time spent homeless & increase job & income growth. Per diem grants include GDP, Bridge, SITH & TIP programs. Bridge & SITH are alcohol & drug free transitional housing programs for single male veterans designed to identify & treat the issued that caused their homelessness, assist veterans with residential stability, increase their skills and/or income & provide them with a greater self determination. The programs require veterans to have one on one meetings with their case manager, participate in daily living skill classes, participate in employment training programs, commit to alcohol & drug free living & participate in volunteer activities.
