Trauma-Informed Direct Services
Direct Services to Individuals: The majority of our work is focused on directly serving individuals and families that have experienced trauma. Programs include parenting education and coaching, individual, family and group counseling for children impacted by abuse and for adults who experience abuse as children and therapeutic visitation for families involved in the child welfare system. All services are provided in a trauma responsive framework and staff are highly trained in evidence based practices. More than 2,400 children and adults participated in these direct services, nearly 30,000 hours of direct service were delivered. Highlights that demonstrate impact include: 83% of parents in Nurturing Parenting demonstrated a reduction in risk for child abuse, neglect or exploitation; 89% of parents completing in family based parenting enrichment services increased protective factors to support their children; 81% of children completing therapy demonstrated and increase in their overall functioning at home and school; and 93% of clients in our visitation program would recommend the service to others.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2022 – Jun 30, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$3.5MChild Abuse Prevention Education
Community Education: Educating children and adults about child abuse is a key component of ending the cycle of child abuse. Training Services: Family Nurturing Center has a commitment to increasing community capacity and places a high value on training other professionals, both locally and nationally, to deliver evidence based models. Trainings included implementation of the Nurturing Parenting Program, Engaging Fathers, Trauma Informed Care.
