Pretend City Children's Museum was closed 7 months of 2020 due to COVID. For 2020, 44,343 children and adults visited Pretend City Children's Museum. That number included 1,902 children experiencing Pretend City via 39 subsidized school field trips, 1,000 children coming in via 16 scholarship field trips, and 5 special group visits through other charitable organizations. An additional 2,037 adults and children enjoyed the educational learning Pretend City has to offer while attending birthday parties hosted at the museum. Over 8,000 free admission tickets were distributed to nonprofit organizations throughout Orange County. Through our Good to Go! program initiative, Pretend City screened 268 children for developmental delay. Additionally, 12 children received a screening from one of the following: vision, dental, fine/gross motor, speech & language, BMI, and audiology. For 2022, 188,880 children and adults visited Pretend City Children's Museum. That number included 4,492 children and chaperones experiencing Pretend City via 77 subsidized school or group field trips, which included 453 students coming via 6 fully funded scholarships field trips. 5,025 adults and children enjoyed the educational learning Pretend City has to offer while attending birthday parties hosted at the museum. Over 9,000 free admission tickets were distributed to nonprofit organizations and communities throughout Orange County. Through our Good to go! Program initiative, Pretend City screened 671 children for developmental delay. Additionally, many children received a free screening from one of the following: vision, dental, fine/gross motor, speech & language, bmi, and audiology during our Way to play days.
