Peace4Kids Support Services
Peace4Kids served 200 unduplicated children and young adults from foster care in South Los Angeles, an increase of 16% from the previous year. Our age-appropriate programs and services adapted to the real-time needs and dynamics caused by the pandemic. This drove Peace4Kids to increase the frequency of our individual connections with transition-age youth and caregivers, helping them overcome food insecurity and housing instability, navigate public benefits and systems, and access health care and other social services. During the last year, Peace4Kids collaborated with the LA County Department of Mental Health to develop a community-based model to address the unique and unmet mental health needs of youth from foster care. We also advanced our youth-led, curriculum-based training and professional development for educators, health professionals, social workers, and caregivers on clinical approaches that mitigate the effects of adverse childhood experiences for youth from foster care.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2021 – Jun 30, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$621.3K
