JA In-School - JA In-School programs include sequential, age-appropriate themes for students in grades Pre-K - 12th grade. Volunteers from the business community receive training and materials, preparing them to make weekly visits to local classrooms to share their professional knowledge and lead hands-on activities. Students learn many concepts of business and economics and how education is relevant to the workplace. JA's In-School programs expose students to business professionals and help prepare and inspire students to achieve their potential. JA-InSchool includes JA BizTown Summer Camp. JA BizTown Summer Camp is a five-day summer program that focuses on financial literacy, work-readiness skills, and entrepreneurship with an additional emphasis on the importance of philanthropy within the community. Based on the JA BizTown program for 5th grade students, JA BizTown Summer Camp is appropriate for children ages 9-13. Facilitated by both the Organization staff and guest speakers from local companies and service organizations, campers prepare for the task of managing their own businesses and developing their own business plan.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2023 – Jun 30, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1MProgram 2 [2024]
