Programs
Program 1 [2018]
FAMILY ENGAGEMENT: We offer a variety of ways for families to participate in their child's classroom. Classroom teachers invite families to be actively involved in a class project. We also offer times for families to come in and share a meal with their child. We encourage families to share their family traditions and culture with their child's classroom. The teachers regularly communicate with families about classroom activities. The teachers invite families to share their knowledge and special talents in the classroom. The Family Engagement program works to assist the family as a whole. One of our programs (St. Mary's Talks) is aimed to teach parents the importance and benefits of talking to their children. This program targets children ages 6 months to 35 months old. We want families to feel a part of our school community. Our Family Engagement Coordinator provides resources and information about services offered in the community to our families all year.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2017 – Jun 30, 2018Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$112.3KProgram 2 [2018]
PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM: 224 children attended St. Mary's Child Center daily. Throughout the year, we served over 250 children due to transiency. St. Mary's Child Center provides a low adult to child ratio (1:7) to ensure that we can focus on the social and emotional, as well as cognitive and physical, development of the children. The high-quality curriculum mitigates the risks to development and promotes school readiness to help the children reach their potential and be successful in school and later life. It is expected that children from lower income families enter kindergarten at a 3 or 4-year development level. 83% of our children leaving for kindergarten were functioning at a 5-year-old level in all developmental domains. Children are considered proficient if they are proficient in 80% of items within the category.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2017 – Jun 30, 2018Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$2.2MProgram 3 [2018]
