Caring Hands Initiative
Caring Hands Initiative (formerly "I Care" Refugee Assistance Program)/GIK - Mission Eurasia distributes humanitarian aid (GIK) in Ukraine and throughout Eurasia to provide holistic care for those in need. Each year, our School Without Walls (SWW) leaders, in partnership with local churches and volunteers, reach hundreds of thousands of people for Christ by bringing them desperately needed clothing, food, wheelchairs, medicine, and other items. In 2024, through Caring Hands-Ukraine (formerly iCare-Ukraine), we provided humanitarian aid for 95,920 displaced and refugees from Ukraine through our refugee assistance centers in Poland and Moldova and our regional ministry hubs in Ukraine. In 2024, our SWW leaders and other ministry volunteers distributed 100,000 Gifts of Hope-brightly colored boxes filled with sweets, toys, school and hygiene supplies, warm mittens or socks, and a children's Bible or other Christian literature, to needy children in six countries of Eurasia during the Christmas season.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2023 – Sep 30, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$10.8MScripture Publishing and Distribution
Publishing - Each year, Mission Eurasia prints and distributes a variety of specialized Scripture pieces in Russian, Ukrainian, and other national languages for the people of Eurasia. In 2023-2024, a total of 850,000 copies of Scripture were printed and distributed, primarily to the victims of war from Ukraine. Scripture versions included New Testaments, My First Bible, Action Bible New Testament, Jesus Storybook Bible, Gospels of John, Light magazine and Hope magazine. In addition, we printed and distributed 262,000 copies of Christian literature, including devotionals for children and teens. Finally, Mission Eurasia helped to cultivate a Next Generation of Christian authors within Eurasia through our National Christian Authors Series. Through this program, we oversaw the publication and distribution of titles that enable young leaders in Eurasia to present solutions to the challenges facing the evangelical church and society at large in their homeland. We also used these titles in our SWW program, NGPLI conferences, and pastoral training seminars. Some of these titles included: Hope for You, God's Stories, Renew, Generous Lifestyle, and My Destiny is With You.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2023 – Sep 30, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$2.9MGifts of Hope Program
