TEACHER HOUSING: This program provides affordable housing options for teachers and school district staff. This year we provided funds to transform unneeded modular classrooms into four fully refurbished 2-bedroom rental units. SCHOOL ENHANCEMENT: In the past year, the Fund for Public Education continued to provide support for Teton County's School District #1 programs and projects not covered by the district's budget. We also raised and disbursed significant funds to help the district cope with the many unique challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. We funded in full or in part: ventilation system upgrades for all 10 public schools, personal protective equipment for over 3,500 staff and students, temperature monitor stations for all 10 schools, Plexiglas dividers for shared learning spaces, and free wi-fi for over 150 families so that they could connect for remote learning.
