PALS Camp Experiences
PALS PROGRAMS IS PROUD TO HAVE PROVIDED IMMERSIVE SLEEP-AWAY CAMP EXPERIENCES FOR 424 YOUNG ADULTS WITH DOWN SYNDROME AND OVER 500 VOLUNTEERS DURING THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR. THERE WERE 15 PROGRAMS HELD ACROSS THE COUNTRY. EACH PARTICIPANT WITH DOWN SYNDROME WAS PAIRED ONE-ON-ONE WITH A VOLUNTEER PEER. TOGETHER THEY ENJOYED OFFSITE TRIPS AND ON-SITE PROGRAMMING. PALS Programs is proud to have provided immersive sleep-away camp experiences for 499 young adults with Down syndrome and over 668 volunteers during the 2024-2025 fiscal year. There were 12 programs held across the country. Each participant with Down syndrome was paired one-on-one with a volunteer peer. Together, they enjoyed offsite trips and on-site programming.
