Homelessness Support Services
PADS Lake County is a community-based organization that provides trauma-informed support, resources, and shelter to individuals and families experiencing a housing crisis. This is done via homelessness prevention and diversion work, street outreach, permanent supportive housing, case management, and emergency overnight shelter, which is PADS' primary role in the community. PADS Lake County is the only non-restrictive night-by-night emergency shelter in Lake County. Since the start of the pandemic most shelter has been provided in hotels with a small number of beds provided in area houses of worship coordinated by PADS. On any given evening, upwards of 275 individuals may be utilizing PADS shelter services. Additionally, The Day Resource Center is open five days a week providing advocacy, case management, referral, and follow-up services as well as assistance in gaining access to mainstream benefits.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2021 – Jun 30, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$3.1MPermanent Supportive Housing
