Project UpLift Literacy Program
Project UpLift, our free after school literacy program, began at Pine Grove in the fall of the 2017-18 school year as a 3rd grade after school program to help 30 struggling readers who were one or two grades below grade level. It began with 30 3rd grade students in that one school. The Above and Beyond Teacher and Staff Recognition program began in 2016 as a fun, celebratory way to honor the hard work of public school teachers who often go unrecognized. The awardees are chosen by their peers. Members of the Board of Roots and Wings, along with donors, Community leaders and interested members of our Community attend these award presentations.
