Community Outreach Center - Adult Program
The VPI Community Outreach Center (ORC) is a free drop-in mental health community center for individuals with a formal mental health and/or substance use diagnosis. With a focus on providing a safe and supportive environment for adults involved in the mental health recovery process, the ORC offers numerous peer-led programs and activities that offer connection, community engagement, skills development, and self-directed growth through shared experience. The VPI Community Outreach Center (ORC) is a free drop-in mental health community center for individuals with a formal mental health and/or substance use diagnosis. The ORC Youth and Young Adult program offers supported education, access, and delivery of mental health services that are trauma informed, skill practice with side-by-side coaching available along with social engagement and crisis prevention planning. The Youth and Young Adult programs works to cultivate healthy habits, develop community, and encourage independence within young adults. The Mental Health Navigator serves Calumet, Outagamie, and Winnebago counties, and connects community members in need, or in crisis, with the system of mental health care. The Mental Health Navigator can help schedule appointments with primary care physicians or mental health providers, get transportation to and from appointments, and can help navigate the world of health insurance.
