Affordable Housing Preservation And Repairs
Revitalize Milwaukee, Inc. RM preserves affordable housing and transforms vulnerable neighborhoods throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. In 2022, RM completed 2,750 repairs on 251 homes, benefiting over 460 individuals. Of those 2,750 repairs, 554 were accessibility modifications, allowing homeowners to remain independent, and 210 were emergency repairs, completed in less than 48 hours. Our work last year was completed with the help of over 6,123 volunteer hours and 18 locally licensed, minority contractors. Our homeowners have lived in their homes for an average of 25 years and are at risk of becoming homeless or paying unaffordable costs to live in an assisted living facility.
