Kathy's House Guest Support
Kathys house is non-profit Guest House that provides lodging and a supportive environment to families who are experiencing personal illness or the serious illness of a loved one. It is a caring place where guests can eat, sleep and be with others when they want -or be alone when they need time, introspection and quiet healing. Kathys House opened in 2001 and provides over 11,000 nights of lodging and caring support each year to 1,500 guests. Amenities include shuttle service to local hospitals, a community kitchen, library, fitness center and meditation room. 65 of guest are here because of cancer diagnosis, 45 of guests are patients, and 55 are family members/caregivers for someone who is receiving medical treatment in a Milwaukee hospital. 74 of guest are Wisconsin residents.
