LAND IS PURCHASED AND IS RESTORED TO NATIVE PRAIRIE AND WETLANDS BY PLANTING NATIVE GRASSES AND FORBS AND RESTORING WETLANDS. AFTER RESTORATION, THE LAND IS TRANSFERRED TO THE U.S. FISH & WILDLIFE SERVICE AND THE MINNESOTA DEPT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR PUBLIC USE AS WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREAS.
