Workshops
Each month, a Project Success facilitator guides experiential activities in 6th-12th grade classrooms. In middle school, students focus on building community, identity, setting goals and leadership while preparing for high school. In high school, students focus on making conscious decisions, taking action on their goals and overcoming obstacles while preparing for life after high school. Through Workshops, students: - feel excited to take steps toward their futures - develop a better sense of self and purpose - are equipped with the tools, skills and confidence needed to achieve their goals Annually, 16,000 students participate in workshops.GeographiesMinneapolis, MN, USA;Mankato, MN, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedEducationYoung adults,Adolescents,Preteens16K–Arts
Observing live theater performances and participating in a stages production give students a window into the performing arts, from front of stage to behind the scenes. Thanks to generous donations of tickets from our 50+ theater partners, Project Success students and their families have access to professional performances and residencies at no cost to them. Theater experiences create a springboard for discussion - inviting risk-taking and possibility. Through Arts, students: - are more aware of diverse perspectives and the world around them - build and strengthen community - practice setting and achieving goals Annually, more than 10,000 students and their families attend live theater and arts experiences.GeographiesMinneapolis, MN, USA;Mankato, MN, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedArts and culture,EducationAge groups10K–Expeditions
Getting out of day-to-day comfort zones open students' worldviews and ways to thrive, and gives students the opportunity to practice skills learned in their PS workshops. We do this through local to national college and career tours, global experiences to discover art, language, culture, and connection around the world, both virtually and with travel. Our outdoor adventures include field trips and summer trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Apostle Islands. Through Expeditions, students: - visualize their potential post-secondary experience - learn and internalize planning strategies and skills - are more aware of the possibilities and the world around them Annually, more than 3,000 students experience outdoor field trips, BWCA and Apostle Islands trips, college and career tours, and global experiences.GeographiesMinneapolis, MN, USA;Mankato, MN, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedEducationOlder adults,Young adults,Adolescents3K–
