Program 1 [2020]
2020 WAS THE YEAR THE PANDEMIC IMPACTED THE ENTIRE COUNTRY, INCLUDING WAHIAWA HEALTH. PROVIDER AND STAFF TURNOVER WAS EXTREME, AND DRASTICALLY IMPACTED PATIENT VOLUME. WAHIAWA WAS ABLE TO PARTNER WITH LOCAL AGENCIES AND SUCCESSFULLY CONVERTED PATIENT ACCESS TO TELEMEDICINE, ALLOWING PATIENTS TO CONTINUE TO BE SEEN, AND CONTINUE PROGRAM REVENUE STREAM. VOLUME, HOWEVER, NEGATIVELY IMPACTED THE FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF THE HEALTH CENTER, BUT WAHIAWA HEALTH WAS SUCCESSFUL IN OBTAINING VARIOUS GRANT FUNDING TO ASSIST AND ALLOW THEM TO RECRUIT, RE-HIRE STAFF, AND CONTINUE WITH FULL OPERATIONS. THE 2ND HALF OF YEAR WAS FOCUSED ON RAMPING UP PATIENT VISITS IN CONJUNCTION WITH STRINGENT INFECTION CONTROL PROCEDURES. WH ALSO ESTABLISHED A 340B PHARMACY WITHIN SUITE 106, WITH PLANS TO OPEN AT THE END OF 2021, AND PROVIDE A MUCH-NEEDED ADDITIONAL SOURCE OF REVENUE THROUGH THE 340B PROGRAM. THE QUALITY AND OUTREACH TEAM WERE SUCCESSFUL IN RECEIVING ADDITIONAL GRANTS FOR EXPANSION OF TELEHEALTH, THE NEW PHARMACY WITH CAPACITY FOR MTM, OUTREACH FOR PREVENTIVE HEALTH AND CHRONIC DISEASE, AND CAPACITY TO ADDRESS THE SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF HEALTH. WH IS REBUILDING, AND WITH THE STRENGTH OF OUR NEW CLINICAL LEADERSHIP, AND WERE SUCCESSFUL IN ADDRESSING OPERATIONAL AND CLINICAL WORKFLOWS WHILE EMBRACING OPPORTUNITIES TO REACH OUT TO THE COMMUNITY AND IMPROVE PATIENT OUTCOMES.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$3MComprehensive Family Planning Services
