Fresh Truck
Fresh Truck Mobile Markets get fresh, affordable, and culturally-connected food to Boston neighborhoods and act as hubs for food culture celebrations, organizing, and activism. Our Mobile Markets feature retrofitted trucks converted into mobile grocery stores that include: • A climate-controlled indoor retail shopping format; • 30+ fresh fruits and vegetables optimized for shopper preference; refrigeration for sensitive foods; • thoughtful merchandising and displays that honor community food culture; • a friendly, personal shopping experience; • in-person and online ordering using cash, credit, EBT/HIP, and the Fresh Connect debit card; and, • COVID-19 physical distancing modifications to protect Fresh Truck staff, volunteers, and shoppers. Fresh Truck Weekly Mobile Markets operate year-round at the same place and time each week in communities that lack access to affordable, healthy food options. The Fresh Truck Pop-Up event series activates Fresh Trucks for cooking demonstrations, storytelling, and other activities that celebrate and uplift the diversity of Boston’s food culture. We host more than 100 Pop-Ups annually in partnership with housing agencies, health centers, and other community organizations. Fresh Trucks eCommerce platform allows shoppers to pre-order food online using cash, credit, EBT/ HIP, and the Fresh Connect debit card.
