Lost Angels Children's Project (LACP) empowers and employs youth within the Antelope Valley community and the greater Los Angeles area by offering a paid vocational training program that provides a direct path to sustainable job placement. LACP program participants are socioeconomically disadvantaged, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, single parents, young women, justice and/or foster system impacted transitional aged youth.LACP's main program offered is "The Work Program", a twelve week intensive industrial arts vocational training and skills development program. LACP has designed the curriculum with input from aerospace industry professional and employers to teach transferable skill sets in high demand career fields.Since inception, LACP has trained and mentored youth in the Antelope Valley area, and partnered with the City of Lancaster, LA County Office of Education, and America's job Center of California to create a classic car restoration social enterprise job training program. LACP offers paid vocational training for TAY youth, case management, barrier assessment, wrap-around support, job placement and retention services. In 2022, LACP provided direct services, training, case management, job placement, and/or supportive services for 243 youth. Many of our youth clients are in various stages of readiness in the ongoing case management process. Since inception of the Work Program, LACP has enrolled and graduated 160 students, 85 of which graduated during 2022. Within the Work Program, LACP has a 95% graduation rate and a 90% employment placement rate. In late 2022, LACP reopened its prior smaller facility, located roughly one mile from the main facility. This has allowed us to expand and serve 40 students per Cohort (25 at the Beech location; 15 at the Trevor location). This will allow our team to serve 120 youth in the Work Program annually, 40 per Cohort, three times per year.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$916.3K
