NAFCM has been providing learning communities as part of the JAMS/NACFM mini-grant program and has grant tracks for law enforcement, veterans/military personnel and their families, and navigating cultural differences grantees. The learning communities will: provide leadership in the development of materials that can be shared and replicated by other community mediation centers in the U.S. provide leadership in the development of other materials, including at least one webinar, to be presented and leverage and focus resources and expertise to maximize the impact of selected pilots and enhancements throughout the U.S. and for the benefit of the community mediation field. NACFM is a membership-based organization of over 40 volunteers, focused on serving community mediation programs, staffs, and volunteers, and they also engage in public education efforts to increase awareness, accessibility, and utilization of constructive conflict engagement skills and low-cost third-party services.
