Releaf Programs
Programs and Public Policy - Restoring forest ecosystems, supporting urban forest research and work, advocating for sound national forest policies and funding, promoting science and research, and working with local and community partners are the lynchpins of American Forests' conservation and public policy work. In the last 25 years, our Releaf programs have helped restore forests in all 50 states and 45 countries around the world, planting more than 66 million trees.See Schedule O for continuationGeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2021 – Sep 30, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$14.1MNational Champion Tree Program
Communications - Beyond supporting the work occurring in the programs and public policy programs, American Forests' communications program focuses on informing the public on the issues, challenges and developments in forestry. This goal is accomplished through an interactive and responsive website, blog posts, media relations, e-newsletters, op-eds, video creation, events, promotional marketing materials, webinars, a published magazine and multiple social media channels. In addition, American Forests' National Champion Tree program is a prime education effort, promoting more than 750 of America's biggest trees across hundreds of species.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2021 – Sep 30, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1.8M
