Mission Statement
NRCA'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT THE WELL-BEING AND SELF-RELIANCE OF INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES. ESTABLISHED IN 1965, THE AGENCY WORKS IN THE NEW RIVER VALLEY OF VIRGINIA TO EMPOWER LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO RECOGNIZE AND ALLEVIATE THEIR OWN POVERTY CONDITIONS. NRCA SERVES APPROXIMATELY 12,000 LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS PER YEAR THROUGH A VARIETY OF INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS.
