Elkins Mountain Schools, Inc. provides residential behavioral health treatment services for adolescent males. The agency operates two residential programs, a 44 bed Main Campus program provides Level III services and a 15 bed Oak Ridge program provides Level II services. The males served in each facility reside there on a 24/7 basis and are receiving therapy, supportive counseling, medication management, counseling, etc. The children in placement are all diagnosed, some dually so, utilizing the DSM diagnoses.Residents are all WV residents, coming from any of the 55 counties of the state. These children are placed in the custody of the West Virginia Department of Human Resources by their home Circuit Courts. Residents remain in treatment on the facility grounds an average of 9 months in the Level III program and 5 months in the Level II program.
