The mission of the Masonic Foundation for Children is to sponsor and conduct Masonic Model Student Assistance Program training workshops that train Core Teams from within schools. Core Teams are taught how to intervene early and effectively with students that display patterns of behaviors that threaten their success at school. By successful early prevention a plethora of illness, accidents, and disease stemming from such negative behaviors can be deterred. In 2022 the organization held 29 MMSAP training sessions totaling 39 days. The trainings included both Core Team and Safe Schools workshops. The organization has trained more than 60,000 educators nationwide with over half a million children having been referred to Core Teams for help.
