Healthy Living Initiatives
Healthy Living: The Y is a leading voice on health and well-being. We bring families closer together, encourage good health, and foster connections through fitness, water activities, fun and shared interests. This is particularly important as our nation struggles with the pandemic which led to isolation, obesity, cancer wellness, families struggle with work/life balance, and individuals search for personal fulfillment. Youth Development: Our Y is committed to nurturing the potential of every child and as we continue to emerge from the pandemic we continue to be committed to supporting youth and families with childcare options as well as bringing back our vital programming. We believe that this focus on social and emotional health, values education, skill development, and relationship building leads to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement. Our YMCA programs such as Youth Aquatics Initiatives, Youth Sports, Summer Day Camp, and Y Afterschool offer a range of life skills that enrich cognitive, social, physical and emotional growth. Social Responsibility: Our Y believes in giving back and supporting our community. We have been listening and responding to our community's most critical social needs for more than 50 years.
