Direct Financial Assistance and Support
Provided direct financial assistance to 971 individuals for a total of $334,787. This assistance included utility payments, rent payments, mortgage payments, and other miscellaneous assistance. ECCCM also distributed food and other items to 20,505 (not unduplicated) which had a fair market value of $3,076,176. ECCCM has contracted with the Catawba County Department of Social Services to administer the Crisis Intervention Program, the Low Income Energy Assistance Program, the Low Income Household Water Assistance Program, and CARES (COVID) funds for all Catawba County residents. All applications for assistance are processed by ECCCM case workers. The applications are then forwarded to the County for payment.
