Contentnea Health operates five Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) serving a three-county region in eastern North Carolina. In 2024, we provided comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health services to 34,446 individual patients through more than 71,800 patient visits. Our centers focus on increasing access to care for medically underserved populations, including uninsured individuals, agricultural workers, and public housing residents. Approximately 85% of patients had no insurance and were offered discounted services through a sliding fee scale based on federal poverty guidelines, with many qualifying for nominal fees due to income levels at or below the poverty line. We distributed $820 million in medications and supplies to support patient health and adherence to treatment plans. Contentnea Health also provided critical outreach through school-based health services, care coordination, and health education initiatives, ensuring that vulnerable populations received timely and affordable care.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2023 – Jun 30, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$17.3M
