EXHIBITS - The museum has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for Northeast Florida for 80 years by collecting, preserving and actively interpreting the region's cultural and natural history. EDUCATION AND PROGRAMS - The museum also served the community by hosting various programs including winter, spring and summer camps, numerous Boy and Girl Scout events, Early Learner programs, Outreach Programs, and competitions as part of its mission to be a cultural, educational and recreational resource for the community. In total the museum served 137,307 people in FY 2024-2025. PLANETARIUM - In October 2010, the museum constructed a digital planetarium to supplement programming to further its mission of inspiring the joy of learning by bringing to life the sciences and regional history of North Florida.
