  • Ocala Symphony Orchestra Cultural Programs

    The Ocala Symphony Orchestra is Marion County's premier cultural arts organization. Its mission is to play the highest caliber music that is performed in front of nearly ten thousand area citizens. The Orchestra performed full orchestra concerts as part of our annual subscriptions series. We also performed several special concerts durimg the year. The Orchestra also provides cultural programs to the community. The programs include the Symphony for the Schools, the Young Artist's Competition, the Kemble Scholarship, and the Music from the Heart.

    The Ocala Sypmphony Orchestra is Marion Countys premier cultural arts organization. With the Reilly Arts Center as its home, the symphony completed its 48th season in 2022-2023 with twelve full orchestra subscription series concerts, several themed concerts and the 33rd Annual Young Artists Competition in January. Enrollment continues to grow in the orchestras Community Music Conservatory, a music school located inside the Reilly Arts center and open to all ages. Through donor support, needs based scholarships were also awarded for youth to take music lessons offered by our professional teachers and musicians. The organization also produced and welcomed a variety of live music, dance, and cultural arts performances throughout the year at both the Reilly Arts Center and its sister facility, the historic Marion Theatre located in Downtown Ocala.
