Animal Adoption and Shelter Partnerships
Friends of Strays adopted out 1713 animals in 2022, the highest in the history of our organization. We also added a new position, Intake Manager, to develop relationships with shelter partners throughout the state of Florida. We are focusing our efforts on transferring in animals from low resource shelters throughout the state that have animals at risk of being euthanized due to space and time constraints. In 2022, Friends of Strays joined forces with MEOW Now, a targeted TNVR organization serving Pinellas County. With our Pinellas Cats Alive program that focuses on Return to Field for cats in our community, the addition of MEOW Now puts Friends of Strays in the position of being a leader in Pinellas County for humanely reducing the number of free roaming cats in our county.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1.3M
