THE GLASSER/SCHOENBAUM HUMAN SERVICES CENTER IS THE "CAMPUS OF CARING" SINCE THEY ARE HOME TO 16 NON-PROFIT HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE NON-PROFITS THAT HELP ADULTS, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN NEED. THE CENTER IS MADE UP OF 14 BUILDINGS OF FIVE ACRES IN NORTH SARASOTA, FLORIDA.THE CENTER'S MOST CENTRAL PROGRAM IS PROVIDING QUALITY OFFICE SPACE AT LOW COST TO THEIR TENNANT PARTNERS, SAVING THEM OPERTATIONAL DOLLARS FOR GREATER SUSTAINABILITY.THEY BELIEVE THAT SUSTAINABILITY IS CRITICAL TO A STRONG SOCIAL SAFETY NET, ESPECIALLY IN TIMES OF CRISIS.THE CENTER CHARGES TENNANT PARTNERS $8.50/SQ FT PER YEAR WHICH IS LESS THAN HALF OF CURRENT MARKET RATES, APPROXIMATELY 42% OF ANNUAL EXPENSES, UTILITIES, SECURITY, MAINTENANCE, CLEANING AND BUILDING INSURANCE ARE COVERED.THE CENTER'S AGENCIES SERVE OVER 24,000 INDIVIDUALS IN THE COMMUNITY EVERY YEAR. Since 1990, our programs, services, and partnership have resulted inover $9 million in savings for our Campus agencies.By saving our campus agency partners operational dollars through rent abatement, no-additional-cost utilities, and free-of-charge maintenance and other services, they have more resources to help men, women, and children in need. On our Campus today, 16 diverse agencies serve over 36,500 clients through more than 80 total programs.The economic impact is profound, as the tenant partners budgets totaled over $25 million, helping to alleviate burdens on other major social welfare systems such as healthcare, the criminal justice system, and education.Dr. Glasser believed the quality of life of Sarasota rests upon the quality of life of its people.Our deep community partnerships and relationships have contributed to this.
