Mission Statement
The mission of ElderCare of Alachua County is to be an advocate for the elderly and provide services that will build capacity, maximize independence and enrich the quality of life for the seniors in Alachua County. The services offered range from community based services that allow the more active seniors the ability to partake in health education, preventative screenings, physical fitness activities, arts and cultural activities, nutritional services, social and volunteer opportunities while our home-based services assist individuals in performing instrumental activities of daily living allowing them to age in place, in their own home. The pillar services provided through ElderCare of Alachua County include management of the senior recreation center, Al'z Place adult daycare center for clients with dementia, Independence with Low Vision, Meals on Wheels, Case Management, and various other community and home-based services.
