For this fiscal year, we have various programs in place to aid the people and animals in our community. Despite a challenging start to our year, we were able to place 356 animals into new caring homes. We are greatly assisted in this mission by over 400 volunteers and almost 100 foster volunteers. We operate a resource center whereby we give our free food, cat litter, and other supplies with an estimated 3,000 pounds of food providing approximately 10,000 meals for dogs and cats in our community. We maintained a Save Rate of greater than 96% with our intakes and all were medically necessary and not behavioral. We began working with a local cat group who provides low-cost surgical alterations of cats and PHS provides the transport for these groups up to 2 hours away. We are actively working to restore our surgical suite and clinic with an unknown operating date.
