Mission Statement
The Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial was formed in 2003 to plan, organize, coordinate, and implement activities associated with the city's centennial anniversary from its founding in 1905. The Commission continues to be in operation, serving as a board that awards grants to applicants that are intended to encourage preservation of the city's history. Funding is provided to facilitate the education, commemoration, preservation and enhancement of historic resources in Las Vegas.
