ANIMAL BALANCE

Programs
Veterinary Care and Population Management
In 2022, Animal Balance, together with partner groups from Arizona, Texas, New Mexico and Louisiana, brought veterinary care and humane animal population management to veterinary deserts across the United States. We held 27 high-volume, high-quality, spay/neuter clinics across the Southern United States and the Galapagos Islands. We spayed, neutered and vaccinated 4,315 animals, plus revaccinated scores more. We continued a nearly two-decade mission to serve remote areas, applying everything our teams have learned working on the Galapagos and other island nations to regions in the American South and Southwest.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$417.9KHigh-Volume Spay/Neuter Training
We trained local teams in high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter clinics across 6 states, and 7 more HQHVSN surgeons were licensed in high-need areas. In the third quarter, our clinic capacity doubled with the purchase of a second minivan, allowing a second team to increase our assistance to the Apache Nation and throughout New Mexico. **** [Note: we have combined Expenses and Revenue of all programs in Line 4a above.]GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$0Galapagos Animal Care Clinic
Animal Balance and the Ecuadorian authorities joined forces to open a cat/dog population and disease control clinic on Isabela, the island in the Galapagos where we held our very first campaign 19 years ago. Over the past two decades we have been providing humane population control for cats and dogs to the communities on the islands, in collaboration with the Ecuadorian authorities. We now have a permanent clinic site, where we deploy a vet team for one week each month to offer spay/neuter services and basic veterinary care to the community, plus dog training classes and veterinary technician training. **** [Note: we have combined Expenses and Revenue of all programs in Line 4a above.]GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$0
