Riding the Wave
What does it mean to ride the wave? What are the connections between health and creativity? Facilitated by artist and therapist, Sarah Johnson, this interactive program participants will use art materials to explore these themes. The thought-provoking experiential activities are designed to encourage connections with ourselves and other humans. Each workshop is unique and focuses on a currently exhibition or artwork at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum; past themes have focused on acceptance, self compassion, and willingness, among others. Sarah Johnson is a community-engaged artist, licensed mental health professional (LPC), and human with many years of experience in prevention, mental health, art, and community building. She founded The Joy Labs, LLC in 2021 and is working to build healthier, more equitable communities.GeographiesWinona, MN 55987, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedArts and culture,HealthEthnic and racial groups,Family relationships,Gender and sexual identity,Health,Social and economic status––Seasonal Saturdays
