In 2022, Westside CARES provided rental assistance to 528 families to help them avoid eviction; 26,036 four-day healthy food baskets to local families and individuals in need; helped 576 neighbors obtain vital documents, like IDs and birth certificates; transportation assistance to 1,808 individuals; eye exams and glasses for 108 people; back to school backpacks to 600 people; 449 nurse consultations; 36 prescriptions; clothing from our onsite resource room to 2,026 people; holiday or thanksgiving help to 160 families; housing navigation for 300 people; mail support for 1,000 neighbors; and provided over 10,000 snack bags.
