Located in Arlington, Texas since 1958, Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital (THAM) is a 369 licensed-bed acute care hospital. The hospital's services include cardiac care, women's services (including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit and Level III OB program), neurosurgery, orthopedics (including hand surgeries), adult and adolescent inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services, ENT, oncology, urology, an advanced imaging center, and emergency services with a Level IV Trauma Center. THAM is certified as Advanced Primary Stroke, Advanced Heart Attack Ready, and Heart Failure Centers by The Joint Commission, an accredited Comprehensive Community Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer, and accredited Breast Center by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, and has a Gold Plus designation from the American Heart Association for its heart and stroke programs. THAM has achieved Level III designation by the state of Texas for our Maternal and Neonatal programs and Level IV designation for our Trauma program. More than 1,900 employees work at this hospital, and more than 670 physicians are practicing on its medical staff, assisted by over 100 advanced practice providers. During 2020, THAM had 65,733 patient days, 12,556 discharges, 1,615 births, 82,889 outpatient encounters, and 52,960 emergency room visits during the year.
