Texas Health Philanthropy and Fundraising
The primary activities of Texas Health Harris Methodist Health Foundation is to develop and cultivate philanthropy and collaborative relationships within the healthcare community to foster the programs and services offered by Texas Health Resources related entities and to improve the communities it serves. Most grants made by the Foundation are made to support the activities of members of the Texas Health Resources hospital system. Supported organizations are as follows: Texas Health Arlington Memorial, Texas Health Azle, Texas Health Cleburne, Texas Health Fort Worth, Texas Health HEB, Texas Health Southwest, Texas Health Stephenville, Texas Health Specialty Hospital, and Texas Health Research & Education Institute. Activities undertaken during the current years included: Building of a permanent endowment fund to provide ongoing financial support to the supported organizations. Solicitation of current gifts of cash or property to meet specific needs of the supported organizations. Solicitation of planned gifts through vehicles such as charitable gifts annuities, charitable remainder lead trusts, life insurance, testamentary bequests, testamentary trusts, etc. Maintenance and preservation of gifts, devises and bequests in accordance with donor restrictions. Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne Annual Gala which raises funds in support of the immunization and cancer screening activities for Johnson County. A golf tournament supporting the Bernard Alger Cancer Fund for Cancer Education. Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital HEB Gala, which raises funds in support of nursing education. Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth Annual Fundraiser and Fashion Show in support of mobile health outreach to underserved women. Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth Annual Breakfast supporting Neonatal Intensive Care Unit needs.
