Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Services
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth ("THFW") is one of the busiest medical centers in the state, providing residents of Fort Worth and surrounding communities with advanced medical services and compassionate care for nearly a century. The 851 licensed bed facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Level IV Designated Maternal Facility, holds The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval and the American Heart Association's Heart-Check mark for Advanced Certification for Comprehensive Stroke Centers and a Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification. In addition to heart & vascular care, key service lines include cancer care, neurosciences, orthopedics, transplant services, emergency & trauma care and women & infant's care. The hospital also offers Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation ("ECMO"), advanced care for life-threatening heart and lung conditions. The Magnet-designated hospital was the first in North Texas to earn the American College of Cardiology Transcatheter Valve Certification and is only the second hospital in the nation to earn the Gold Seal of Approval for Brain Tumor Certification by The Joint Commission. The Jane and John Justin Tower opened at THFW in 2022, adding 144 beds, 15 surgery suites, and pre- and postoperative suites services. The project, the largest in Texas Health's history, added 400,000 square feet, helping the hospital expand its reach across the region and allowing shell space for future needs. THFW has more than 5000 employees, plus our medical staff of 1500 physicians which helps us to provide quality medical healthcare to everyone regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, handicap, age, or ability to pay. Recognizing its mission to the community, our services are provided to both financially and medically indigent patients including those covered by governmental programs Medicare and Medicaid for reimbursement which does not always cover their cost of care because quality medical care is essential for everyone. During the year, THFW had 246,698 patient days, 42,341 discharges, 202,087 outpatient encounters, 159,426 emergency room visits and 3,229 births.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1B
