Youth programs: various programs for young people in Southeast Texas which expose participants to the Symphony of Southeast Texas and help foster an appreciation for the arts. Participation in the Youth Guild is open to all high school students. Participants in the Symphony Belles, Beau, and Debutante programs must be nominated by a League member and selected by the appropriate Selection Committee. Selection for participation is based in part of the nominee's personal and family commitment to the League and the Symphony. The League also sponsors an After-School Strings program, which provide free string instrument lessons, and an annual String Competition. Both the After-School Strings program and the String Competition are open to the public.
