The Endowment's primary purpose is to provide financial support for the educational programs and facilities of the Chinquapin Preparatory School. The Chinquapin Preparatory School is dedicated to providing a high quality college-preparatory education to able and deserving boys and girls, grades 6 through 12, from low-income Houston area families. Boys in grades 7 and 8 and girls in grades 8 through 12 are eligible to board on campus. All high school boys are required to board on campus. The Chinquapin Preparatory School (the School) is a Texas nonprofit corporation established in 1969 and located in Highlands, Texas. The School is dedicated to providing high quality college preparatory education to able and motivated youth from underserved communities in the Greater Houston area. Through the rigorous curriculum and an emphasis on community service and earning what one receives, the School aims to produce responsible, well-educated citizens who will become constructive leaders in the community. Able and motivated students, grades 6 through 12, are eligible to attend the School. All students in grades 6-12 are eligible to board on campus.
