Programs
MACLA Arts Education and Exhibitions
Each year, MACLA produces about 50 activities in the following areas visual arts, performance and literary arts, and youth arts education. MACLA offers four major visual art exhibitions each year that showcase artists whose work is rooted in the Latinx experience and inclusive of a broader multicultural sensibility. Exhibitions are free to the public. They include artist talks, gallery walks, and lectures that expand upon the themes and issues addressed and place artists within their artistic and cultural contexts. MACLA supports local artists through employment opportunities, professional development resources, and mixers for the creative sector to network and build community. Our paid curatorial internship program is an opportunity for college students to deepen their education through hands-on learning about contemporary Latinx artists, exhibition design, and public program development, creating a pipeline of future cultural workers.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2022 – Jun 30, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$873.1KProgram 1 [2025]
