High School Scientific and Biomedical Engineering Course
CIJE offers a two-year course in Scientific and Biomedical Engineering for high school students. This innovative curriculum prepares students for careers in engineering, programming, and advanced technology. CIJE is educating a generation of students in Jewish schools to enter and compete in the global marketplace. CIJE provides each class with specialized equipment and materials, and trains teachers to “reorient” how they approach curricula. Throughout the year, students work in engineering design teams and apply their inventiveness to develop various types of products and machines. Projects range from advanced circuitry and bridge building to developing prosthetic limbs.GeographiesNew York, USA;New Jersey, USA;Arizona, USA;California, USA;Connecticut, USA;Washington, DC, USA;Florida, USA;Georgia, USA;Illinois, USA;Maryland, USA;Massachusetts, USA;Minneapolis, MN, USA;Nevada, USA;Ohio, USA;Pennsylvania, USA;Texas, USA;Virginia, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedDesign,Sculpture,Textile arts,College preparation,Secondary education,STEM education,Equal opportunity in education,Vocational secondary education,Biology,Engineering,Mathematics,Physical and earth sciences,TechnologyAdolescents,Preteens,Iraqi Community,Russian Community,Syrian Community,Jewish people,Students,Teachers––CIJE-Tech Middle School
The CIJE-Tech Middle School Program enhances student interest in STEM and exposure to engineering through hands-on experiences. Learning the fundamentals of engineering provides the foundation needed for deeper learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The curriculum includes small group collaborative work, hands-on activities, and experiments to promote inquiry and curiosity. Learning is connected to the real world through an emphasis on the application of STEM subjects to everyday life, employment, and the surrounding environment.GeographiesArizona, USA;California, USA;Connecticut, USA;Washington, DC, USA;Florida, USA;Georgia, USA;Indiana, USA;Maryland, USA;Massachusetts, USA;Minneapolis, MN, USA;Nevada, USA;New Jersey, USA;New York, NY, USA;Ohio, USA;Pennsylvania, USA;Texas, USA;Virginia, USA;Washington, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedDesign,Computer literacy,Middle school education,STEM education,Equal opportunity in education,Judaism,Engineering,Mathematics,TechnologyAdolescents,Preteens,Iraqi Community,Russian Community,Syrian Community,Jewish people,Students,Teachers––CIJE STEAM Lower School (CSLS)
