Clean Water Initiative
In northern Syria, drought conditions and damaged infrastructure have created a dire situation where safe water remains out of reach for hundreds of thousands of people. MFA operates the a Primary Healthcare Center in northeast Syria, which is the primary health care facility in the area for a catchment population of more than 50,000 people. It provides essential primary health care services, including general and child’s health consultations, sexual and reproductive health care, distribution of free medicines, and referral services. In response to urgent and specific needs, MFA is well-equipped to respond quickly when emergencies arise.
